Ghanaian international Andre Ayew once again excelled as his club NAC Breda recorded a narrow 1-0 win over FC Volendam at the Rat Verlegh Stadion in round 24 of the Eredivisie on Saturday afternoon.
The game remained tough and balanced until the 87th minute when Pepijn Reulen struck late to separate the two sides and hand Breda all precious three points at home.
The 36-year-old started and enjoyed full-time action for the second game running. His compatriot Kamal Sowah also played the entire duration, while Denis Odoi featured for 54 minutes.
Reacting to the important victory, the former Ghana captain celebrated the victory with a short message on Instagram where he wrote;
“Back-to-back wins. Stadium on fire. One team, one family. Focused on Friday.”
NAC Breda have now hugely moved out of the relegation zone and will hope to continue this strong form when they travel to face SC Telstar in their next league encounter on Friday, February 27.
Andre Ayew has been out of the Black Stars for a long time but many believe his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup will be very helpful to the team in USA, Canada and Mexico in the summer.
