Ghanaian attacker, Andre Ayew's second goal against FC Lorient has been adjudged French Ligue 1 goal of the month for January.
The Black Stars captain despite not making the starting line up in the said game, came off the bench and conjured magic after hitting twice to salvage a pulsating 3-3 draw at the Stade du Mustoir for his side Le Havre.
His first goal was on the 85th minute- few minutes after his introduction before scoring again with a spectacular halfway acrobatic kick nine minutes later to draw his side back on level terms for the third time in the game.
After screening through all goals scored in the month under review in the French topflight, the technical study team feels Andre Ayew's goal stands tall and have voted it as their goal of last month.
The 34-year-old once again scored for the Navy-Blues in the midweek against Strasbourg in the Coupe de France and that has now extended his goal tally to three in all competitions so far this season.
The ex- Marseille forward will hope to make the starting line up when they host Alidu Seidu's Stade Rennais at the Stade Oceane on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
