Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has admitted he is disappointed with his performance after Manchester City suffered a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in match-day 2 of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, October 14.
The Cityzens endured a difficult start to the encounter, falling 3-0 behind within the opening 35 minutes as PSG took control of the game.
Semenyo had several opportunities to get on the scoresheet but failed to convert his chances, attracting criticism following the defeat.
Speaking on his performance, the forward admitted he was struggling to come to terms with the missed opportunities despite his team’s improved response during the match.
“It's quite frustrating, to be honest. I think I'm beating myself up a little bit at the moment from all the chances that I missed,” he said.
Despite the disappointment, Semenyo believes Man City can take positives from their attacking response and learn from the defeat as they look to bounce back in their next fixture.
