English-born Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has set off to a brighter start having netted twice in AFC Bournemouth’s 4-2 defeat to champions Liverpool in 2025/26 Premier League opener - which was really a tensed Anfield fixture. 

The 25-year-old made manager Andoni Iraola’s starting line up and was really in the thick of affairs for the Cherries and lasted the entire duration.

However, Semenyo in the course of the game, was racially abused by a Liverpool supporter in a wheelchair who was subsequently picked up by police, per reports
