Antoine Semenyo is brimming with confidence after winning the first major trophy of his career, following Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

The Black Stars forward impressed on the right side of City’s attack, using his pace and direct style to trouble Arsenal’s defence throughout the contest. His performance capped a memorable night as he celebrated a landmark achievement in his career.

Speaking after the game, Semenyo expressed his joy and ambition for more success, describing the triumph as just the beginning. “First of many! I’m excited, I’m happy… if you have the game plan right you’ll win. We did that today,” he said, while highlighting the freedom he enjoys in attack to take on defenders and create problems.

The 24-year-old also believes the victory could serve as a turning point in City’s season, providing a timely boost ahead of a crucial Premier League title race. With Arsenal currently holding a nine-point lead—albeit with City having a game in hand—Semenyo is confident his side can close the gap after the international break.

“I think it-this win over Arsenal-gives us a boost and confidence coming back from the international break and hopefully catching up," Semenyo said.

With momentum on their side, Semenyo and Manchester City will now shift focus to the league, aiming to build on their cup success and mount a strong push for further silverware.
