Athletic Club's Iñaki Williams has received a clean bill of health from the club's medical services, confirming his recovery from a recent illness.

The striker is set to travel to Ghana on Thursday morning to join the Black Stars' training camp as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Having been included in Ghana's final 27-man squad for the tournament in Ivory Coast, the 29-year-old forward, who scored his first international goal against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, is eager to contribute to the team's success.

Williams' recovery was officially verified by the club's medical staff on Wednesday morning, ensuring he is fit and ready to reunite with his national teammates.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars commenced their training camp in Kumasi on January 2 and will engage in a friendly match against Namibia at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ghana, placed in Group B for the AFCON tournament, is scheduled to face Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique in the competition hosted in Ivory Coast.

Their first match is against Cape Verde at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on January 14, followed by games against Egypt and Mozambique on January 18 and January 22, respectively.
