Ghanaian attacking midfielder Augustine Boakye climbed off the bench to score in Wolfsberger AC big win over Gzira United in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Tuesday evening.

Wolfsberger AC progressed to the next round of the competition following their 4-0 away win over Gzira United in the reverse fixture after the first leg had ended in a 0-0 draw.

Boakye was introduced on the 75th minute as replacement for Konstantin Kerschbaumer.

He needed just nine minutes to register his name on the score sheet for Wolfsberger AC after his teammates Thai Baribo, Dominik Baumgartner and Thorsten Rocher had found the back of net before the hour-mark.

Boakye joined Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC on a four-year deal from West African Football Academy SC in 2021.
