Charlton Athletic knocked out Queens Park Rangers (QPR) from the first round of the Carabao Cup on penalties.

The game ended 1-1 after ninty-minutes at the Valley stadium.

 
The Penalties ended 5:3 in favour of Charlton Athletic.
 
Tyler Roberts fired QPR ahead in the 80th minute on his debut, before Aaron Henry levelled for the home side Charlton Athletic in the 90th minute.
 
Hero Wollacott saved Stefan Johansen's first penalty for Queens Park Rangers to send his side into the next round of the Carabao cup.
 
Charlton Athletic's shot-stopper, Jojo Wollacott, has been an integral member of the Ghanaian national team since making his debut in Black Stars 3:1 victory over Zimbabwe in the world cup qualifiers in 2021.
 
Wollacott, 25, joined Charlton Athletic this summer from Swindon Town.
