The 25-year-old former West African Football Academy (WAFA) youth star has been released by the Austrian second-tier side following an unsuccessful loan stint
Austrian 2. Liga side SKU Amstetten have terminated the loan contract of Ghanaian winger Daniel Owusu.
Having joined them from his mother club RB Salzburg on a season-long loan deal during the 2023 summer transfer window, the ex-WAFA wideman has now seen his time cut short at the Ertl-Glas-Stadion given an unimpressive outing so far this term.
A statement confirming the annulment of the loan deal read via the club's Instagram page: "The contract with cooperation player Daniel Owusu was terminated and Tobias Pellegrini is moving to Pregarten on loan. We thank you for your commitment and wish you all the best for the future."
Owusu, whose deal with Red Bull Salzburg will expire on May 31, 2025 is due back to their fold for the rest of the ongoing 2023/24 football season.
