Ghanaian forward Baba Zakari has joined Portuguese side SC Salgueiros ahead of the 2025-26 season, the club have announced.
The 26-year-old striker arrives from Amarante FC, where he featured in the 2024-25 Liga 3 campaign. Zakari made 19 appearances across league and cup competitions last season, scoring once.
Zakari, who began his career in Ghana with Liberty Professionals before moving to Portugal in 2018, has previously played for clubs including Gondomar SC, Felgueiras, and Belenenses.
Known for his physical presence and versatility across the forward line, Zakari will bolster Salgueiros’ attacking options as they prepare for another campaign in Portugal’s third tier.
SC Salgueiros, based in Porto, have ambitions of returning to the professional divisions after years in the lower leagues. The addition of Zakari is part of a broader summer recruitment drive aimed at strengthening the squad under head coach Jorge Pinto.
