Bayer Leverkusen have placed a €45 million price tag on German-born Dutch-Ghanaian forward Ernest Poku following growing interest from top clubs across Europe.

Poku joined Leverkusen from AZ Alkmaar in August 2025 for €12m and has quickly developed into one of the club’s most valuable attacking players.

Italian sides Napoli and Juventus are both keen on the right winger, while Premier League clubs including Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also monitoring his situation.

Several reports in the German media say Leverkusen have now made their position clear, setting an initial asking price of €45m to open talks with interested clubs.

The figure represents a significant rise in value for the 22-year-old, less than a year after his move from the Eredivisie.

With demand increasing, Leverkusen appear ready to negotiate, but only from their stated starting point.
