Swedish club Umea FC has signed Ghanaian forward Philip Appiah Jnr on a three-year contract following a successful trial with the Ettan side.

The 21-year-old striker impressed during the trial, scoring three goals in as many games, showcasing his finishing and attacking prowess.

“Philip is a strong and technical striker who can play with both feet and is quick in behind. He delivered well during his trial, and we are excited to see him in the Umea FC shirt,” said club veteran Adam Chennoufi.

Appiah Jnr, who previously played for Sporting Clube de Espinho in Portugal, expressed his excitement about joining the club and contributing to its ambitions.

“I’m thrilled to sign a three-year deal with Umea FC. The squad is young and ambitious, and I already feel like part of the family,” he said.

The Ghanaian attacker will wear the number 10 jersey as he embarks on his new chapter in Swedish football.
