Kamaldeen Sulemana continues to voice out on how he is faring at Southampton so far and admittedly he's stated he has always been under pressure to deliver since he is the club's most expensive signing.

The mercurial winger joined the St Mary's Stadium-based club from Stade Rennais in early 2023 £22 million - making him the club's record signing.

The 22-year-old has been struggling with injuries for quiet a while now since joining the Saints but has now recovered fully hoping to rediscover his form as the season progresses.

Kamaldeen was in action over the weekend in the FA Cup having lasted 86 minutes in Southampton's painful 0-1 loss to Burnley to exit the competition.

Kamaldeen Sulemana confessed being the club's most expensive signing has really had impact on him having given him so much pressure to deliver even during his early days at training after a long injury layoff.

"I'm the transfer record here, so ever since I got here there's always been big pressure on me," he explained.

"Sometimes I feel like I play quite well, but if the team don't win, I don't score and I don't assist I haven't fulfilled my task as a striker or as a winger.

"It's still not enough, because I'm regarded as the transfer record and I should always be the one doing everything to get the club where it needs to be."

Kamaldeen Sulemana has made 16 appearances in all competitions this campaign and has tallied a goal and two assists so far.
