Francis Amuzu opened his account in the Brazilian Serie A with a fine goal to help Grêmio secure a convincing 2-0 win over Vitória at the Arena do Grêmio.
The 26-year-old winger made his mark in the 54th minute, intelligently drifting to the far post to connect with a pinpoint delivery from Weverton before calmly finishing to double his side’s lead.
Grêmio had earlier gone ahead in the 27th minute under fortunate circumstances when Vitória defender Camutanga inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while under pressure, handing the hosts early control of the contest.
From that point, the home side, guided by coach Renato Portaluppi, managed the game efficiently—keeping Vitória at bay while posing a constant threat on the break, with Amuzu particularly lively down the flank.
The goal caps an encouraging start to the 2026 campaign for Amuzu, who has now featured six times in the league, contributing one goal and two assists as he continues to grow in influence.
The result keeps Grêmio in a strong position in the top half of the table as they prepare for a challenging away fixture against Vasco da Gama on Sunday, March 22.
