Latching onto a clever pass from Cephas Malele, Acheampong showed composure to slot home what would prove to be the winning goal, sparking celebrations at the Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium.
Despite seeing less of the ball, Dalian Yingbo executed their game plan effectively—staying organized defensively and waiting for opportunities to strike on the counter. Acheampong was instrumental throughout, using his pace and movement to stretch the opposition and provide a reliable outlet under pressure.
Shanghai Port controlled large spells of possession but struggled to break down a disciplined Dalian backline, as the hosts held firm to secure an important clean sheet.
Acheampong’s latest goal continues his strong start to the 2026 campaign, with the Ghanaian now registering two goals and one assist in just three league appearances.
