Ghanaian wing-back, Benson Anang was in action over the weekend for his club Othellos Athienou FC in the Cypriot First Division league as his team came from behind to settle for stalemate against Apollon Limassol FC.
It was the opening day of the season as the Green and Whites visited the Alphamega Stadium with hopes to grab first three points but ended in a one-one draw after full time.
The Ghanaian international featured for his new team for the first time after his move in July as he lasted the entire duration of the game without any caution or mistakes which could have caused blemishes to his debut.
Othellos currently sit fourth on the league table with a point and will go into the next game against Anorthosis Famagusta FC at home on Saturday, 26th August, at the Ammochostos Larnaca Stadium.
Benson, 23, is known for his uncatchable pace at the flanks, bringing in decisive crosses and is also versatility in team's play in general He featured in series of matches for the Black Stars in 2021 and was also included in Ghana’s U-23 Olympics team that failed to qualify for the next tournament.
