Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor Women have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian forward Princella Adubea.

The 25-year-old Black Queens star joins the club following the withdrawal of Samsunspor from the league, which saw Trabzonspor promoted to the Turkey Insurance Football League.

Though the club has not disclosed the duration of Adubea’s contract, the transfer was officially announced on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, via a statement on Trabzonspor's website.

"The maroon-blue club has accelerated transfer activities to strengthen its position in the Super League," the statement read, highlighting the acquisition of the former Ampem Darkoa Ladies striker.

Adubea previously played for MS Kiryat Gat in the Israeli Women’s Premier League, joining them in 2022 after a stint with Racing de Santander in Spain. However, her time in Israel was marred by injuries, sidelining her for nearly seven months and causing her to miss the Black Queens' 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Now fully recovered, Adubea has already begun training with her new team as they prepare for their Super League match against Fenerbahçe.
