Ghana star Alexander Djiku has been named in the French Ligue 1 Team of the Week for match day five.
Djiku, 26, played the entire 90 minutes in Strasbourg’s 1-1 draw against Nantes at Stade de la Meinau in the match-day 5 round of games.
With a rating of 7.5, the Ghanaian made the list and was named to the Team of the Week, along with PSG duo - Messi and Marco Verratti.
The defender has so far featured in five games for the Blue-and-Whites and scored his first goal of the season for Strasbourg in their 1-1 stalemate against Reims at home on Sunday, August 21.
Djiku scored the opening goal of the game in the 45th minute for Strasbourg, but American-born Nigerian striker Folarin Balogun equalised for the visitors to make it 1-1.
