Ghana international Alexander Djiku has emerged as a top transfer target for clubs in England and Spain, with few hours to the shut of the European transfer window.
According to French tabloid RMC Sport, English Premier League side Southampton and Spainish giants Sevilla are among the clubs battling for the signature of the 28-year-old guardsman on the transfer deadline day.
Djiku's move to German Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim hit snag despite passing a mandatory medical examination in July.
His club, RC Strasbourg have decided to sell the Black Stars stopper this summer to avoid losing him to any club for free next summer.
The 28-year-old's contract with Strasbourg is due to expire in the summer of next year as he has just a year left and has made his intention of not extending his contract.
