Ghanaian striker Prince Osei Owusu continued his impressive scoring form in Major League Soccer, finding the net for the second consecutive match, although CF Montreal suffered a 2–1 defeat to Orlando City on Saturday night.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Duncan McGuire, putting Orlando City ahead early in the contest at Inter&Co Stadium.
Montreal responded just six minutes later when Owusu rose highest inside the box to power home a header in the 24th minute, bringing the visitors level and marking his second league goal of the campaign.
However, Orlando regained control before halftime. Martin Ojeda restored the lead for the home side in the 31st minute, a strike that ultimately proved decisive as Montreal failed to find an equaliser in the remainder of the match.
Owusu has now scored two goals in four MLS appearances this season, having also been on target in Montreal’s 3–0 victory over New York Red Bulls at Sports Illustrated Stadium last week.
The 29-year-old striker enjoyed a productive 2025 campaign, finishing as CF Montreal’s top scorer with 13 league goals. His performances earned him a Black Stars debut in November 2025 during the Kirin Cup.
With his current form, Owusu is widely expected to be included in Otto Addo’s squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Germany and Austria later this month.
