English-born Ghanaian shot-stopper, Jojo Wollacott was handed his Hibernian FC debut earlier today in a game they lost 4-0 to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth in a preseason friendly.
The 26 year old joined the Hibs last month from Charlton Athletic and has been in a serious preparations since his arrival in Edinburgh.
Finally, the lanky goalie was started for the first time in post but wasn't impressive having conceded four times at the Marbella Football Center to wrap up their preseason in Spain.
Goals from Philip Billing (2), David Brooks and Jaidon Anthony gave the English Premier League side victory in sweltering conditions.
The game proved to be a testing evening for Wollacott and his teammates against such strong opposition, however there were many positives for managet Lee Johnson to take from their performance in general.
Jojo Wollacott will hope for another starting place when they face Dutch side FC Groningen at Easter Road Stadium on Friday, July 21, 2023.
