Ghana international Lawrence Ati-Zigi has been voted Player of the Month for April by FC St. Gallen after a series of outstanding performances in the Swiss Super League.
The Black Stars goalkeeper enjoyed a standout month, producing crucial saves and commanding displays that helped St. Gallen maintain strong results in the Swiss top flight.
His latest recognition reflects his remarkable consistency and leadership, qualities that have made him one of the most dependable goalkeepers in Switzerland since joining the club in 2020.
Ati-Zigi further highlighted his importance over the weekend when he marked his 250th appearance for the club in dramatic fashion, helping St. Gallen secure a 2–1 away victory over FC Lugano.
In that match, the Ghanaian shot-stopper delivered a match-winning moment with a stunning stoppage-time penalty save to preserve all three points at the Stadio di Cornaredo.
His performances throughout April earned strong backing from supporters, who voted him as the club’s standout player for the month.
The 29-year-old has continued to prove his value this season, making 35 appearances across all competitions while recording eight clean sheets.
Since arriving in Switzerland, Ati-Zigi has become a key figure for St. Gallen, amassing 251 appearances and 49 clean sheets, cementing his status as a fan favourite.
The former FC Sochaux-Montbéliard goalkeeper remains one of Ghana’s most reliable players heading into upcoming international assignments with the Black Stars.
