Red-hot Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey scored the consolation goal for Ludogorets Razgrad as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Dynamo Zagreb.
The high-tempo game at the Huvepharma Arena stadium on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the Uefa Champions League third qualifying round was a match which many Bulgarian locals felt it should have been won by the Eagles as they dazzled infront of their teeming fans.
The 24-year-old hit the back of the net with a 22nd minute consolation finish when his side was already down 2-0.
The former UniStar Academy man has been heavily linked with a move away from Ludogorets Razgrad following his dynamite performance last season in the Bulgarian top-tier.
Tekpetey, who opened his goal scoring account for the 2022/23 Parva Liga against Lokomotiv Plodiv will be out to help overturn the defeat in the second leg to qualify for the group stage of the new Uefa Champions League season.
