Ghana will no longer be able to convince Eddie Nketiah to play for the Black Stars after the attacker has been given a debut call-up to England.

The Arsenal forward has been a target for Ghana to switch nationality and play for the Black Stars instead of England.

Even though Nketiah has featured for the various England youth teams, the youngster was still eligible to play for Ghana.

But it seems Nketiah has chosen England after being handed debut call-up to the Three Lions by manager Garry Southgate.

The 24-year old has been included in England’s squad for next month’s Euro qualifier with Ukraine and friendly in Scotland.

Eddie Nketiah was born in England to a Ghanaian parents and was eligible to play for any of the two countries at the international level.
