The talented defender has put pen to paper on a fresh terms with the Swedish top-flight outfit, with the new deal set to expire for the next two football campaigns
Swedish Allsvenskan side Varbergs BoIS have announced a two-year contract extension with Ghanaian centre-back Gideon Mensah this summer.
The 22--year-old stopper, who sat out for the entire 2022-23 football season as a result of knee injury, will now continue to be on the books of the Påskbergsvallen Stadium outfit as his current deal was due to expire this coming December.
An excerpt of a statement confirming the contract extension of the Ghanaian-based Right to Dream academy product via the club official website read: "Gideon Mensah extends contract with BoIS for another two years."
Sporting director Thomas Askebrand is determined to welcome the former FC Nordsjaelland finished article next season on the field of play as he's now recuperated fully.
"With the enthusiasm and energy he has, he shows the way for everyone else. We are really looking forward to seeing him on the field next year," the Swedish football administrator stated.
Mensah, who has played for the U-17 & U-20 national sides, is yet to earn his international cap with the men's senior national team the Black Stars.
