Ghanaian winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana has been ruled out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, confirmrd by his club Southampton.
This is a very huge blow for coach Chris Hughton who included him in his provisional 55-man squad for the competition.
The 21-year-old hasn't been with the Black Stars for sometime now due to series of injuries he's faced in recent times.
Currently, he is on the sidelines once again due to a hamstring injury he sustained last month against Bristol City in the English Championship.
Ahead of the Saints game against QPR, manager Russel Martin stated the ex- Stade Rennes star isn't coming back anytime soon and are only expecting him back from February next year.
This automatically means, Kamaldeen, who has three assists in thirteen games so far this season, is out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for early next year in Cote D'Ivoire.
Ghana have been housed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
