European giants FC Barcelona are very close to announcing the signing of Ghanaian youngster David Oduro on the final day of the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Ghanaian young full-back earned himself a trial opportunity with the Spanish heavyweights in March this year for a possible acquisition and has been training with their youth teams since.
The former Chelsea trialist trained with FC Barcelona's La Masia within this period and his impressive display caught the good eyes of the club's technical handlers who have ordered for his immediate capture.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed this imminent capturing of the budding star, with an official confirmation expected to be made soon.
The 18-year-old will be the first player directly from Ghana to join the Blaugranas and will start from the academy as he still has a lot to learn and will hope to make a steady rise into the first team as time goes on.
David Oduro has been a delight to watch in the Ghana Premier League since joining Accra Lions in 2021 from lower-tier side Desideros FC.
Until his departure for trials in Europe, he was a key member of the Ghana U20 team under coach Desmond Ofei.
