The Black Stars right-back has touched down in Italy to complete his switch to ACF Fiorentina ahead of the 2025–26 summer transfer deadline day.

Italian Serie A have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion over the acquisition of Ghana international Tariq Lamptey in a deal worth €6 million.

Kickgh.com can exclusively report that Lamptey has arrived in the city of Florence scheduled to undergo a mandatory medical examination on Sunday, August 31, 2025 to finalize his move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit.

During the last season's campaign, the 22-year-old had a difficult term at Brighton and it was disrupted by recurring injuries, restricting him to just 15 appearances. Despite these setbacks, he contributed two goals and two assists.

The former Chelsea starlet did not feature in Brighton’s opening three matches of the ongoing season against Fulham, Everton, and Oxford United.

Since joining the Seagulls from Chelsea, Lamptey has made 104 appearances, scoring three goals, and has established himself as a versatile option on the flank.

Lamptey has been named in Ghana’s squad for Matchday 7 and 8 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali next month.
