Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Godfried Frimpong has emerged as a target for 2. Bundesliga clubs, with each working feverishly to land his signature in this ongoing transfer window, multiple reports from the German media have indicated.
The 26-year-old left-back is currently unattached since leaving Portuguese top-flight campaigners Moreirense FC at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Per German outlets RTL/ntv and 'sport.de, several clubs contesting in the German second tier are on the heels of the talented lateral defender in an effort to land him this summer.
The reports further stated that the ex-Sparta Rotterdam youth man is also keen on a move to the Bundesliga and could easily team up with any of his admirers next term as he is currently in the free agency pool ahead of the new football season.
Having played for The Netherlands U16 & U18 national youth teams, The Hague-born left-back remains fit to represent Ghana on the international stage given his Ghanaian parentage.
