Ghana striker Caleb Ekuban scored his third goal of the season for Genoa in their comeback victory over Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie A on Sunday afternoon.
Genoa secured an important 2-1 away win to dump Hellas Verona in the relegation zone following the defeat in the fixture at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
Federico Bonazzoli found the back of the net in the 8th minute to give Hellas Verona an early lead, but the Ghana international leveled the score before the break.
Ekuban snatched the equalizer for Genoa in a fashion on the stroke of halftime with a cool finish.
His teammate Albert Gudmundsson scored the match winner for the visitors, handing them the maximum three points against Hellas Verona.
The 30-year-old lasted for 66 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Emil Bohinen.
Ekuban has managed to notch up three goals in 23 appearances for Genoa in the Italian Serie A this season so far.
