Ghanaian international Caleb Marfo Yerenkyi opened his season's goal-scoring account for FC Nordsjaelland in a 2-1 away win over Odense BK in the Danish Super Liga on Sunday.

FC Nordsjaelland recorded back-to-back victories after coming from a goal down to secure a crucial away win over Odense BK in their match-week 7 fixture at the Nature Energy Park.

German international Fiete Arp opened the scoring for the hosts in the 27th minute, but they failed to hold on to the lead as they conceded twice in the second half.

Four minutes after the break, Yerenkyi brilliantly snatched the equaliser for Nordsjaelland before Ola Solbakken netted the match winner in the 60th minute to hand the visitors the three maximum points.

He enjoyed the entire duration of the game, while his compatriot Prince Amoako Junior lasted 87 minutes, with Issaka Seidu and Stephen Acquah coming off the bench for FC Nordsjaelland.

The 19-year-old, who has been linked with a potential move to Arsenal in the Premier League, has featured in all seven league games for FC Nordsjaelland with a goal and two assists to his name.

His sterling output in the Danish Super Liga earned him a debut call-up to the senior national team of Ghana during the international break in March 2025.

Yerenkyi has also been named in Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Mali and Chad in September.
