Turkish Super Lig side Çaykur Rizespor have reportedly opened talks with Ghana international forward Caleb Ekuban in a bid to sign him from ltalian top-flight side Genoa CFC.
The newly-promoted top division outfit are keen to bolster their frontline options with the acquisition of the former Trabzonspor man as they aim to stage a strong campaign in the just started football season.
According to a report filed by newspaper Fanatik, the City of Rize Stadium campaigners have already held fruitful negotiations with the Ghana striker and a deal could soon be in place between both parties.
The report added that there have been positive talks between Genoa CFC and Çaykur Rizespor with the former ready to accept bid for the services of their forward in the ongoing Turkish window.
His contract with Genoa CFC is due to expire on June 30, 2024 and current suitors are to table €1.3m to be able to land him this summer as per his transfermarkt valuation.
