Ghanaian striker Felix Afena-Gyan has encountered an injury setback that will keep him sidelined for several weeks.

The 20-year-old player sustained a fracture to his left metatarsal while participating in a training session with US Cremonese on Monday.

Following the injury, the former AS Roma forward underwent initial scans to assess the damage. However, the full extent of the injury will be determined after undergoing additional tests.

The club officially stated, "In the past few hours, Felix Afena-Gyan underwent diagnostic tests which highlighted the fracture of the base of the fifth metatarsal of his left foot," wrote the club on their official website.

"The outcome of the radiological investigation will be subjected to further specialist evaluations for the appropriate indications. Afena-Gyan was injured during training on Monday."

In the current season, Afena-Gyan has made three appearances and contributed a goal in the Coppa Italia.
