Cercle Brugge has officially signed Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Agyekum from Red Bull Salzburg on a loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent.
The talented youngster, who developed his skills at WAFA's renowned academy, will be wearing the Cercle Brugge jersey for the foreseeable future. This move marks a significant achievement for the Belgian club, which successfully secured Agyekum's signature despite interest from other teams.
Agyekum, 21, has already demonstrated his potential during his stint with Red Bull Salzburg. Cercle Brugge is eager to utilize his skills as they aim to make an impact in the Belgian top flight. Last season, Agyekum was on loan at Liefering, where he played 14 matches, scored one goal, and provided one assist.
He also made three appearances for Red Bull Salzburg during their 2022-23 Austrian Bundesliga title-winning campaign. With all paperwork finalized and visa requirements completed, Agyekum is ready to join his new teammates and start his journey with Cercle Brugge.
