Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Baah delivered a moment of brilliance for Watford, scoring in their 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in Wednesday’s Championship clash.
QPR set the tone early, with Michael Frey finding the net in the 5th minute after a well-worked set-piece, assisted by Kieran Morgan. The hosts doubled their advantage in the 37th minute when Jimmy Dunne headed in an Ilias Chair cross, putting Watford on the back foot.
Baah reignited Watford’s hopes in the 55th minute, producing a superb finish into the bottom corner following an intelligent setup from Giorgi Chakvetadze. The strike highlighted Baah's composure and precision in front of goal.
However, the Hornets' resurgence was short-lived, as Sam Field restored QPR's two-goal lead just a minute later, nodding home a pinpoint cross from Paul Smyth to secure the victory for the home side.
Currently sitting 8th in the league, Watford will look to rebound when they take on Sheffield United on January 4. QPR, buoyed by this win, will face Luton Town on January 6.
