Former Ghana assistant coach George Boateng has lauded Thomas Partey for his crucial role in Arsenal's squad this season, emphasizing the midfielder's impact both on and off the pitch.
Partey has been a regular fixture in Arsenal’s lineup, playing in 17 of the team's 18 league matches so far, contributing two goals and two assists in 14 starts. Despite being asked to take on various roles, the Ghanaian has continued to impress in his dynamic contributions as the Gunners push for another title challenge.
Boateng, who worked with Partey during their time with the national team, spoke highly of the midfielder’s qualities. In an interview with Tribal Football, he said, "Partey is a lovely boy who lives his life in a very humble and humanitarian way. He does a lot for the community in Ghana. He’s very respectful to coaches and teammates and has a deep understanding of society."
As for Partey's on-field performances, Boateng added, "As a player, Thomas has done unbelievably well. He is such a valuable asset to the club, and you can see the difference when Arsenal plays without him."
Partey’s current contract with Arsenal expires in the summer, though there are ongoing discussions about a potential extension before the end of the season.
