Ghanaian striker Prince-Osei Owusu has been named April Player of the Month for CF Montréal following a series of impressive performances in Major League Soccer.

The 29-year-old forward enjoyed an outstanding month for the Canadian club, playing a decisive role in the team’s attacking displays throughout April.

Owusu recorded two goals and three assists in four league appearances, directly contributing to five goals during the month under review.

His excellent form has further highlighted his importance to the team since being appointed club captain ahead of the 2026 MLS season.

The Ghanaian attacker has emerged as one of Montreal’s standout players this campaign and currently boasts 11 direct goal involvements in as many league matches.

So far this season, Owusu has scored six goals and provided five assists, underlining his consistency and attacking influence.

The former Germany youth international, who later switched allegiance to Ghana, continues to strengthen his case for a regular place in the Ghana national football team setup after earning his maiden Black Stars call-up for the 2025 Kirin Cup tournament.

His recent performances are expected to please the Black Stars technical team as Ghana continues preparations for future international assignments.

Owusu’s leadership qualities and attacking contributions have been central to CF Montreal’s campaign, with the club hoping their in-form captain can maintain his impressive momentum throughout the remainder of the MLS season.
