Saudi Arabia's topflight's man of the moment Bernard Mensah fired a stunning hat-trick as Al Tai's succumbed to a painful defeat at Al Ettifaq.
The midfield lynchpin was the hero of their Saudi Pro League defeat against the Knight of Ad-Dahna on Wednesday night, as it took him 45 minutes to score his first career treble for Al Tai in a 4-3 rout.
The Ghanaian who also received the match ball posted a message on social media saying: "Happy to score my first hat trick Saudi Pro League, not the result we wanted we focus on the next game."
Meanwhile, Al Tai's first six matches of the 2023-24 league season have been little over average at best, with two wins, three losses and a draw in their most recent match against Al Hazem over the weekend.
However, prior to this game Al Tai have a very good record against Steven Gerrard's star-studded Al Ettifaq over the last two seasons, with their away form taking a nosedive in recent times, failing to win any of their last eight league matches on the road.
