The English heavyweights have secured the signature of the promising wonderkid of Ghanaian descent from the London-based talents nurturing outfit for their academy youth system
England-born Ghanaian evergreen budding star Malachi Botchway has joined Premier League giants Chelsea Football Club from England Academy side Lambeth Tigers Football Club, his mother club have announced.
The 8-year-old rising promising whizkid is now following in the footsteps of compatriot Ghanaian wonderkid Osei-Kuffour in joining up with the academy ranks of the Stamford Bridge campaigners this summer.
Botchway has been slated for the Chelsea U9 setup and would be looking forward to following in the footsteps of academy graduates of Ghanaian heritage including Josh Acheampong, Tariq Lamptey, Tyrique George, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu in reaching his full potential in West London.
Given his promising talent, the evergreen whizkid could become a future prospect for the Ghana national football team at the international level
