The 22-year-old winger of Ghanaian origin has sealed his move to the German fourth tier outfit in the ongoing summer transfer window
German Regionalliga Nordost side Chemnitzer FC have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian winger Stephan Mensah on a two-year deal this summer.
The talented left winger joins the Stadion an der Gellertstraße outfit on a free transfer having exhausted his deal with fellow lower division side 1860 Rosenheim last. term.
A statement confirming the signing of the promising forward line man reads: " The Chemnitzer FC strengthens in the offensive. Attacker Stephan Mensah is moving to Gellertstrasse with immediate effect. The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2024."
Right after putting pen to paper on the deal, the former Karlsruher SC youth product said " am very happy that I can prove myself here in Chemnitz. I noticed right away that the club has high ambitions and I would like to follow this path. I can hardly wait to play in this great stadium for the first time," the 22-year-old told his club's official website.
Born in Karlsruhe, Mensah is still eligible to switch national allegiance to represent Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the Germany U17 & U18 national youth teams.
