Ghana young sensation Christopher Bonsu Baah has explained what inspired him to join Belgian side KRC Genk and added it was really the best of decision amid interest from other clubs.

 

The 18 year old is joining the Smurfs on a five year deal after a fruitful negotiations and on the back of a scintillating debut season in Norway with Sarpsborg 08- where he also joined from Ghanaian lower-tier side Shooting Stars last summer.

During his short stay in Norway, Bonsu Baah made 12 appearances and scored one goal with an assist.
 
In an interview with the club's official website, Baah expressed elation for making this switch and added he is very eager to lean and exploit more to reach higher heights.
 
“I have known the club for some time. When I was little, I played on FIFA with KRC Genk because of players like De Bruyne & Courtois."
 
“When I heard about KRC Genk's interest, I didn't hesitate for a second, despite interest from other teams. Being part of the club myself now feels like the right choice at the right time. I can't wait to develop further."
 
He produced the highest number of successful dribbles (57) and created the most chances (10) in the Norwegian Eliteserien last season.
 
His 59thspot on the Golden Boy Award – a list of the best football players under 21 years old on European fields – his talent fluoresces. His gigantic potential did not go unnoticed.
 
Bonsu Baah will wear jersey number 90 at KRC Genk. He is expected to link up with Joseph Paintsil in the attack of the club this season
