Danish-born Ghanaian centre-back Jonas Jensen-Abbew is still attracting interest from clubs, with suitors from Denmark, ltaly, Austria and Portugal all  vying for his services, according to his representative Carsten Abrahamsen.

The 21-year-old stopper, currently on the books of Danish Superligaen side FC Nordsjaelland, penned a three-year contract extension during the summer ttransfer window - a priority that remained on the cards for the youngster since attracting interest from admirers.

That notwithstanding, his agent has revealed that the former HB Koge loanee is still being courted by clubs in a bid to prise him way from his current employers given his eye-catching performances at the Right to Dream Park, telling bold.dk: "There has been quite a bit of interest, and there still is, I must say. There have been several foreign clubs that have been interested. There has been interest from Portugal, Italy, Austria and also Danish clubs."

He added:  "It was not such a difficult choice for Jonas, now that the desire for an extension with FC Nordsjælland was mutual. He has had nice words along the way, and it was a no-brainer to extend, because they believe in him enormously at the club, and he is very happy to be there."

Jensen-Abbew added over his aim to stay put at the Farum-based club after inking his contract extension during the summer ttransfer window.

"This is what I have been working towards. Since it could be done, I was sure it was the best move for me. I can develop a lot and take some big steps in FC Nordsjælland."

He has so far featured in 5 games for FC Nordsjaelland across all competitions in the ongoing Superligaen 23/24 football campaign.

Born and raised to Ghanaian parents living in the city of Herlev in Denmark, the youngster remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level albeit featuring for the Danish U18 national youth team.
