The 22-year-old defender has been lauded by the Volkswagen Arena campaigners following his debut appearance in the German top-flight over the weekend

Ghana international Jonas Adjetey has been hailed by Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg after making his debut outing in their 2-2 draw game against RB Leipzig on Sunday.

The towering centre-back, who joined the Die Wölfe on a four-and-a-half-year contract from Swiss Super League side FC Basel during the winter window, has now begin his journey in the German top-flight for the 2025-26 campaign.

Right after his first bow, those in charge of the Volkswagen Arena took to their micro-blogging platform Account Facebook to congratulate their new signing: ''Bundesliga debut! Jonas Adjetey made his first mandatory game for our Wolves against Leipziq. Congratulations Jonny!''

With this marquee move to the Bundesliga and the 2026 World Cup looming, the defender would surely be in contention to make the cut for the June global football event with the Ghana senior men's national team as he currently boasts of 7 caps with the African powerhouse on the international stage.
