The English second-tier outfit have entered the race to sign the 22-year-old defender of Ghanaian descent, with a bid expected to be tabled for his signature in the summer 

English Championship side Coventry City have joined the queue in vying for the services of Dutch-born Ghanaian centre-back Tyrese Asante, a report from the English media has claimed.

The ex- Feyenoord Rotterdam youth man, who is currently plying his trade with lsraeli top-flight outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv, has emerged as a wanted man by The Sky Blues and are set to tender in a bid for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Asante is being monitored by clubs in the UK and across Europe, with Aberdeen, Cardiff City and Hull City all believed to be in the frame for his pursuit after seeing their advances over his transfer deal knocked back by the Israeli outfit during the January transfer window.

He has so far been involved in 31 games across all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv in this ongoing 2024-25 football campaign.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Netherlands U21 national youth team.
