Besiktas, the Turkish club, has officially announced the acquisition of Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey on a three-year contract, extending until 2026.
The experienced player, known for his versatility, will once again compete in Europe.
Having become a free agent after the conclusion of his contract with English Premier League team Leicester City at the end of the 2022/23 season, Amartey swiftly completed the transfer process.
He arrived in Turkey earlier in the day and successfully underwent a medical examination, a standard requirement to finalize the transfer.
In a late Friday announcement on their website, Besiktas confirmed the deal, expressing their intentions for the upcoming season.
The statement conveyed their belief that Amartey would make significant contributions to the club and wished him great success in their prestigious jersey. They presented the signing with utmost respect to the public.
