West Ham United manager, David Moyes, expressed frustration on Tuesday night after being denied the opportunity to field Mohammed Kudus in the game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

At 23, Mohammed Kudus is set to join the Black Stars for preparations leading up to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Reports suggest that West Ham sought to negotiate with Ghana's technical team, attempting to retain the forward for a few more days to include him in the match against Brighton, but the request was turned down.

As a result, Kudus was absent from the team’s matchday squad during the goalless draw against Brighton.

Speaking after the game, David Moyes expressed his frustration, saying, “Unfortunately, we could not play Mohammed Kudus for reasons I don't know. Liverpool was able to play Mohamed Salah on Monday, but we were not permitted to play Mo.”

Mohammed Kudus is expected to join the Black Stars' camp on Wednesday in preparation for the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
