The 25-year-old forward of Ghanaian descent has extended his deal with the Danish lower-tier side until the summer of 2023 in this winter transfer window

Denmark-born Ghanaian centre-forward Justin Kwabena Shaibu has signed a contract extension with Danish NordicBet League side Hillerød Fodbold, with the new deal set to run out in June 2023.

The former Brentford striker has been outstanding for his side this season and is now set to continue plying his trade at the Hillerød Stadium in the ongoing Danish 1st Division football campaign.

Club's manager Christian Lønstrup expressed his delight after seeing their efforts to tie down their marksman to a fresh term come to  fruition.

''It is a great pleasure for us that Justin has chosen to extend his deal until the summer of 2023. Justin has been a breath of fresh air in the autumn, where he has helped raise our training level,'' the Dane gaffer told his club's communications network. He continues; "In addition, Justin has contributed positively during the games, primarily as a substitute, and we hope we can get Justin back to his previous top level with hopefully many goals.''

Shaibu has this term featured in 7 league games, scoring once for Hillerød Fodbold in the ongoing 1.Division 22/23 football season.

Having been born and raised in Copenhagen, he is still qualified to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international stage despite featuring for the Denmark U-17, U-18 and U-20 national youth teams.
