Serie C club AC Perugia have secured the services of Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Amoah Sam on a one-and-a-half-year contract, with an option of a further year after the 2026-27 campaign.
The FC Volendam academy graduate is linking up with The Griffins on a free transfer after last featuring for Dutch Eerste Divisie side Almere City FC last term.
A statement confirming the signing of the Ghana-prospect right-back from the club's official website reads: ''AC Perugia Calcio announces that it has secured the rights to the sporting performances of Dutch defender Amoah Sam until June 2027 .
''Having just turned twenty-four, he grew up in the youth teams of Volendam, showing his qualities in the Dutch second division, with the Almere City shirt, for whom he played 28 games, scoring 2 goals.
''The footballer, who has been training on trial with the Grifoni for a few days, signed a contract with Perugia (one year, plus an option) and obtained a transfer, has been called up by coach Diana for tomorrow's match, Saturday 3 October, in Gubbio.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the versatile lateral guardsman remains qualified to switch nationality and represent the Ghana national team, the Black Stars at the international level.
