The experienced striker of Ghanaian root is set to complete his move to the Romanian top-flight campaigners in this January transfer window

Romanian Liga l side Gloria Buzău manager Eugen Neagoe has said his side are on the verge of signing Ghanaian centre-forward Kevin Luckassen, with the deal between both parties said to be 95% complete ahead of his move this winter.

The 31-year-old experienced former AZ Alkmaar youth product will be joining the newly-promoted top division side on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Saudi Arabia Second-Tier outfit Al-Batin in this current season.

The Romanian gaffer has now confirmed the imminent capturing of the Ghanaian forward after his side's 2-1 defeat against Oţelul Galaţi on Saturday as being quoted by newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor: ''It is possible that we will see him in Buzău on Monday. He is not a striker from Romania, but he has been in Romania before. He is 95% signed. De Nooijer is training, we will see if he will be fit for the match with Farul. We are still talking to two offensive players, we will see if we can bring them in.''

Kevin is not new to the Romanian elite division contest after having stints with Politehnica Iasi, Farul Constanta, Sepsi OSK Sf. Gheorghe, FC Rapid and UTA Arad in his career.

Before severing ties with Al-Batin, he netted 1 goal in 14 appearances across all competitions in this current Saudi Arabian football season.

Given his Ghanaian root, he still remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international level after featuring for the Dutch U18 and U19 national youth teams.
