Ghana defender Ebenezer Annan is on the verge of sealing a loan move to Romanian side Rapid Bucharest from French club Saint-Étienne, according to reports in the media
Rapid have reportedly agreed a deal worth around €150,000 for the 23-year-old, with the Romanian club also having an option to make the move permanent for approximately €1 million.
Rapid official Marius Bilașco has confirmed that Annan wants the transfer, with the Ghanaian expected to travel to Bucharest to complete his medical and final formalities.
The defender is now set to continue his career in Romania as he looks for regular playing opportunities and further experience at senior level.
Annan joined Saint-Étienne from Serbian club Red Star Belgrade in 2025 and has since remained part of the French side’s squad.
A move to Rapid Bucharest would give the Ghanaian another opportunity to develop his career in Europe and gain valuable experience in Romanian football.
The transfer is expected to be completed once Annan passes his medical and the final formalities are concluded.
